Alien Hero 16 channel CCTV DVR digital recorder. On offer in this listing is an AlienHero 16 channel DVR. This is a high-end, very powerful digital recorder with lots of sophisticated features. The DVR was installed in my warehouse and was a huge improvement on what we had before. The image quality on recordings is excellent. Obviously a lot depends on your cameras (we use mainly Nite Devil) but there doesn't seem to be any detail lost in the recording. Despite the powerful features, I found it a really easy unit to operate and program, the user interface is well thought out and is far nicer to work with than many other DVRs I've come across. There is a massive 16 video channels available. It will record all 16 channels simultaneously, at 25 frames per second, and can play them all back in a single display.

It will interface with alarm systems and other hardware like contact closures etc. The DVR comes without a hard disc, but will accept any SATA drive.

You can fit multiple drives for either extended recording time or an immediate backup. External discs can be connected via USB, and a VGA or HDMI monitor can be hooked up for a high resolution preview.

These programs are all available free of charge. This unit is only surplus to requirements because we recently upgraded to a 32-channel DVR when we added extra cameras.
